Indian Ocean Cruises is the first to establish Indian Ocean Cruises and after two
successful seasons, the company has established Mauritius as home port to offer
round the year cruises in the Indian Ocean.

The ‘Ocean Odyssey’, as it is known as, is a heritage cruise liner with the
investment of US$10 million which would offer personalized attention to travelers
with the combo of leisure at land and on board at an affordable price. The home town
of ocean Odyssey will be Port Louis. On offer will be three itineraries namely
Madagascar, Reuinon Island and Agalega from Port Louis (Mauritius).

Mr Sanjeev Goswami, Joint Managing Director, Foresight Smart Ventures said, “Our
Indian Ocean cruise is one step forward in branding Mauritius as an exciting cruise
and vacation destination. The ‘Ocean Odyssey’ brings in outstanding personalized
hotel and cruise management expertise to Indian Ocean, giving travelers a wonderful
vacation option with the combo of leisure at land and at cruise on the Indian Ocean
at an affordable cost. We will be working jointly with Air Mauritius and Government
of Mauritius to make Mauritius the hottest destination.”

He added, “We have invested US$ 10mln and have plans to make significant investment
to develop a world class cruise operations in the Indian Ocean in the next 3-5
years. We are also in discussion with Leading Tour Operators In India/ UK/
Mauritius/ Germany/ UAE to set-up the marketing and distribution channels”.

The ‘Ocean Odyssey’ is a beautiful heritage ship and can carry maximum of 200 pax
including crew on board. Each of the 125 cabins has a private bathroom and good
shower, hotel-style beds, balcony, telephone, TV, and air conditioning. The common
areas on the ship include a Restaurant, Hospital, observation lounge and Bar, Coffee
bar, Gym, Sauna, Casino, Sun deck, Library, and Spa.

Mauritius is expected to receive some 975,000 tourists this year and this figures to
increase to two million by 2015. To assert this projection, the Indian Ocean Cruises
would play a very vital role.
